TechConnect Astana announced ten startups from five countries to fight in a Battle for $25000

A professional jury has chosen ten startups from 312 applicants to come to Kazakhstan on November 12th to TechConnect Astana conference to fight in a Battle for the main prize of $25 000 USD. The prize is provided by an international investment network Cross Border Angels.
Lucky finalists:
Tap4parking (Ukraine) – the service provides information on free parking slots in real time by converting data from any parking equipment and analyzing video stream in cloud. Self-produced camera makes it possible to detect slot availability and identify car number. With T4P app user can find, navigate and pay for parking in a few clicks.
Amis Industries (Kazakhstan) – a producer of smart devices and internet of things based on voice commands. The first product – AMIS (Advanced Multifunctional Intelligence System). The basic version of AMIS controls light, sound, multimedia, security and communication system.
UniExo (Ukraine) – a robotic exoskeleton, a mobile compact device attached to the human body, that helps to rehabilitate damaged limbs and to partly operate them.
Luciding (Ukraine) – a device for controlling dreams. Attached to your head, it detects REM sleep and pushes mild electronic stimulation. Your consciousness wakes up in a dream and you can control your dream.
Faino Decor (Ukraine) – an iPad app created by a professional interior designer for decorators and other creative people who want to decorate interiors by themselves. The main function of Faino Decor – fast interior visualizations based on photos of real space, giving an opportunity to “try on” different interior objects – from tables and chairs to lamps and textile without using the complicated 2-D and 3-D programs..
Tutelar Electronics (Kazakhstan) – integrated security system
EggsTV (Russia) – a TV constructor for small and medium-sized businesses that allows them to create live communication with their customers via Facebook, Vkontakte, Twitter, Instagram, Foursquare etc. The service operates on a SoC platforms with its own OS (based on Android 4.4.2), CMS and video servers with license video.
Preply (Poland) – a fast growing marketplace for tutoring
Namba Taxi (Kyrgyzstan) – taxi ordering service
Wipon (Kazakhstan) – a global anti-counterfeit and safe consumption platform. It helps consumers to check if an item was falsified through an iOS app.
Ten finalists will come to TechConnect on November 12th to participate in the Startup Battle and compete for the main prize of $25 000 provided by an international investment network Cross Border Angels.
Jury consisted of Anna Degtereva, CEO and founder of Happy Farm international business accelerator, Igor Shoifot, partner of TMT investments venture fund, Kaushal Chokshi and Marta Emerson from the Cross Border Angels (CBA).
Among 312 applicants there were startups from Greece, Poland, Serbia, the Check Republic, Serbia, Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Belorussia, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan and other countries.
The event is organized by the Ministry for Investments and Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the National Agency for Technological Development, the President’s Bolashak International Scholarship Association Fellows, national info-communicational holding Zerde and international business accelerator Happy Farm. TechConnect Astana conference is a part of Innovations Week.
